Research context
bellcast is an interactive research and education application. The content, visualizations, audio examples, maps, and interLog materials are provided for exploration and communication of the project, not as professional, legal, engineering, conservation, safety, or planning advice.
Model limitations
The 3D bell, modal synthesis, FEM-related material, acoustical raytracing, weather controls, and Landshut auralization map are simplified digital representations. They can differ from measured acoustic behavior, site conditions, current environmental data, and the experience of listening in the real place.
Automated translations
Automated translations provided by this application or related services may be incorrect, inaccurate or inappropriate. If wording is important, use the original-language content or contact the project operator for clarification.
No guarantee of correctness or completeness
The application is maintained with care, but no guarantee is given that all texts, references, model data, audio output, map positions, routes, environmental parameters, or interface labels are complete, current, or free from errors.
Scientific, technical, historical, and editorial statements may change as project data, source material, implementation details, or research assumptions are updated.
Simulation and audio output
Generated or synthesized bell sounds are intended to demonstrate modeled behavior and interaction patterns. They are not an authoritative measurement record and should not be used as the sole basis for restoration, tuning, structural, operational, or safety decisions.
Audio playback volume depends on the user's device and headphones or speakers. Users are responsible for choosing safe listening levels.
Map, route, and location information
The map and guided listening positions are provided for orientation within the application and for acoustic exploration. They are not navigation, traffic, accessibility, construction, or emergency information.
Local conditions, access rules, closures, weather, visibility, and safety risks can differ from the digital scene. Users should rely on current local information when visiting physical locations.
External references and third-party services
The external reference catalog, attribution links, publication links, and provider links can lead to websites or services outside the operator's control. The respective operators are responsible for their own content, availability, accuracy, security, and data processing.
Optional Google Maps Platform Photorealistic 3D Tiles and related CesiumJS rendering behavior are subject to the availability, terms, and technical limitations of the relevant third-party providers.
Availability and changes
The application may be changed, interrupted, limited, or removed without prior notice. Features, datasets, translations, references, and visual or audio output may be revised as the project develops.
